Good Workout the DVD's could be better

I actually like this product. The only thing missing when you buy from Amazon instead of direct from their site is the 16 minute DVD. But this comes with the 8 minute and the 12 minute workouts on one DVD.I bought it to change up my cardio as the treadmill was getting kind of stale. I normally do 45 minutes on the treadmill so I thought doing the 8 & 12 back to back wouldn't really be a big deal. Wrong!! The 8 minute kinda kicked my butt! AND there are breaks every 2 minutes along the way! I think it's going to be a least a week or so before I tackle the 12 minute one let alone doing them both back to back. So as far as the workout I don't think you will be disappointed. Now for the prodution value.... it isn't bad......but seriously the music for me was pathetic. After listening to the great music to workout to with TurboJam(which I love) this sounded like bad porn music to me. But..there is a timer/counter clock as the workout progresses so once you get used to the jump routines you can always hit mute and listen to your own music. I only wish the camera had wide shots of them jumping so you can see the next moves and not lose rhythm. For some reason the camera likes to get the lead jumper from the waist up.. and then close ups of the footwork (which after a while of watching feet move like that it becomes surreal). If you read their site then you know what the product can do. It was easy set-up. Just make sure you have a tiny screwdriver to unscrew the part for the batteries and you are set to go. I hope the manufacture takes this advice and makes some better workout DVD's as this can really be a great way to get in shape. I would recommend it.More detail ...

The actual product is fine. I just wanted to help others not make the same mistake I did - I *assumed* this was a set of toning balls. It's NOT. It is a single ball. You need to order two. :-)

Good quality but medium was too small

These gloves are of a good quality though have a strong smell (leather dye I assume). I am using them almost daily and they cusion palms and fingers nicely. The velcro on the back is slightly uncomfortable probably due to the size being too small. I ordered gloves in medium size but they are too small for my relatively small hands. If you think you need medium you probably should order large. I am giving 4 stars for the size issue but the quality and price combination is very good.More detail ...

Very Pleased

These were purchased as a gift for my husband. He has been working with them for about 4 weeks now and continues to comment on how much he likes them. I was concerned about the coments of other reviewers about the indicator being hard to read (we don't find it hard at all) and the necessity to move four dials to change the weight (would you want all the weight on one end?) and don't find any problems with either of these issues. These work great are more reasonably priced than other comperable sets and have a nice look and feel which was important to my spouse. He gives them a whole-hearted stamp of approval.More detail ...

Better than springs?... Yes

Bought 3 sets of these for myself and my roomates. I'm liking mine alot as has everyone else at my office who has tried them. Much better than similar products I have tried that use springs for tension being both less noisey no way to pinch yourself and more 'flexible' in grip. May i suggest that you buy the book along with the WalkPlus Video so that you can grasp the fundamentals of this superior system that is a precursor of TurboJam the FIRM ( which in their 2008 workouts have a handweight system similar to the original Heavyhands except for the chrome plated endweights) many combined aerobic/anerobic utlilizing hand weights or weighted gloves. Incorrectly described - vendor is trying to fix that

These hand weights are well made. Delivery was quick. HOWEVER they weigh only 1.0 pounds each not 1.5 pounds as in the Amazon description. When I brought this to the attention of the vendor (a division of Body Trends) they immediately refunded my entire purchase price and set out to get Amazon to correct the description. A month later Amazon has still NOT made the correction.

Best for your Turbo Jam /kickboxing workouts

I got these gloves to replace the Beachbody cheapies that came with my Turbo Jam Maximum Results package. (The Beachbody ones just fell apart after 3 months of use)



So far these Cathe ones are great and what I love best about them is that they fit like a glove with a hole for each one of your fingers including your thumb. This ensures a secure fit and makes sure your glove won't go flying off your hand while your doing punches (a huge problem I had with the Beachbody ones). They are easier to put on too and have an adjustable wrist band with a secure velcro and belt hook closure. The only complaint I have is that the part of the glove that covers my hands and has the "weight" in it feels a little loose and can't be tightened the weighted part kind of slides around the top of my hands but I guess that could be be attributable to the fact that I have small hands. Problem easily solved by maintaining a little fist during the workout which is really the point of these gloves during kickboxing anyway.
